20th Sept

Going back to the 20th as I jumped ahead a bit with the Bus trip,we visited Dampier home of Red Dog of Movie fame.
There is a Memorial of him on the outskirts of Town.

Dampier is another Port where Australia is being shipped offshore to China shipload after shipload, day after day.

Here are a couple of Ore carriers being loaded at the port of Dampier facility.
I was really taken with Dampier and felt I could live there, and even sorted out just the place to build a little house on the Beach.

                     Just imagine having that as a postal address or on your Business card.
Helen wasn't as keen as me,in fact she poured cold water on the whole idea. Cant imagine why!!
From here we headed for Exmouth and had a free camp along the way. It was very open, dusty and hot, but it was time for a break so we stopped for the night.

                                      I found a few wild flowers growing in the Riverbed.

Next its on to Exmouth.
